Taryn Wattles is a photojournalist currently based in Michigan. She recently graduated from Central Michigan University, with a Bachelor of Science in Photojournalism, and dual minors in American Sign Language and 2-D Art Photography.

Growing up in the sprawling suburbia of Metro-Detroit, Taryn found her love of photography through her experiences with disposable cameras. Soon after, she bought herself a digital camera and began to pursue her passion of documenting the moments around her. Being a very colourful person herself, she loves to use bold and vivid colour in her images. Also working a lot with long exposures, which adds an element of art/painting to her photos. Currently Taryn is a freelance photographer in Metro-Detroit, enjoys shooting music events/festivals, portraits, travel, and editorial as well as working on a few personal projects.
